My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scooter, a male, tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a recent release from a puppy mill. His date of birth is 3/21/13 and he weighs 13 pounds. He has been neutered and had a dental at that time. He is up to date on vaccinations. Unfortunately, he tested positive for heartworms. Since he is asymptomatic for heartworms, we are currently addressing this with a conservative protocol which consists of keeping non symptomatic heartworm positive dogs on Ivermectin. We will be adding Doxycycline to this regimen per our vet’s recommendation as he now favors this treatment protocol developed by LSU. Scooter is also receiving monthly flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His foster mom says that even though he is very timid and shy he is very sweet and with time and loving patience he will become your faithful companion. If you would like to adopt Scooter, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
