My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ken and Barbie are 2 adorable Maltese that were recently released from a puppy mill. Ken, a little shy at first is becoming quite a flirt. Barbie was very shy initially and hid behind Ken. She has not had Ken to hide behind while she is recovering from her spay surgery, so she will actually come up and sniff her foster moms hand now, which is a big step for her. Ken’s date of birth is 5/14/13 and he weighs 8.5 pounds. He was very thin when rescued but his appetite is phenomenal now so his adopter will have to be diligent about keeping him trim and healthy. He has been neutered and had an extensive dental with 6 extractions. Ken is up to date on vaccinations and tested negative for heartworms. He is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His foster mom would love to see Ken and Barbie adopted together if possible. If you would like to adopt Ken, or even better, Ken and Barbie, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
