Baxter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Baxter's Story...
Baxter is one of the pups we trapped at the Albuquerque landfill in April 2014. He is about a year and a half old now (1/16) and is good with other dogs and has learned to trust people. He actually will need to be placed with another dog; he will not do well as an only dog. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and ready for a forever home. He is some kind of mix, but we aren't sure what....perhaps lab/greyhound? We are not sure!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Rio Rancho Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rio Rancho, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rio Rancho.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rio Rancho already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rio Rancho breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rio Rancho paves the way for another one to be saved.
