My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hello to you, thanks for checking me out. My name is Darby and I'm a male Cairn Terrier blend weighing 10 pounds. I don't know how I ended up in a big old scary shelter where adoptable dogs are euthanized because there are just too many of them. Thankfully I got out of there and was saved by a wonderful rescue called CARE. They also found me a foster home in San Antonio Texas where I've met some other dogs other little dogs. At first can be standoffish but do well with laid back dogs. I ignore cats and I really love belly rubs and snuggling and following my humans all over to make sure that everything is good with them. I'm ready for my forever home and can be transported to you in the US or Canada.

This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The $550 adoption fee** covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chip and air transport. Please call CARE at 210-858-8422 or email adoptions@caretx.org

*CARE RESCUE IS A 501C3 NON PROFIT and is located in San Antonio, TX where we have an extremely serious pet overpopulation situation and four hundred plus adoptable pets lose their lives in the shelter and on the streets every week. We have been trying to save as many as we can for the past 6 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more.
**This is the base fee for transportation and varies according to weight of the dog and location. Flying to Canada requires an additional customs fee.
