My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazel is a beautiful, medium-longhaired calico, approximately 5 years old and weighing about 10 lbs. To look at her you would never guess the trauma she went through. Several months ago, a good Samaritan found Hazel lying in his yard crying, bleeding and unable to walk. He took her to a veterinarian who determined she had a broken pelvis bone, probably from being hit by a car. The very nice man took Hazel home and looked after her while she recovered from the injury. For awhile she wouldn't eat and had to be bottle fed.

Now Hazel is in a Dusty Paws foster home, doing great and ready to find a permanent home. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped and combo tested (negative). She was very well behaved during her recent appointment at the veterinary office - didn't try to scratch or bite the vet techs despite the prodding and poking and needles. In fact, Hazel is an exceptionally sweet and friendly cat. She is outgoing even to strangers and will talk to you and follow you around.

To be sure Hazel never has another run - in with a car, we are seeking a home for her where she will be an indoor- only cat.
