Wyoming's Story...
Wyoming is one of the smartest pups. He is approx 12 weeks old and weighs 15 lbs at 1/15/16. He will probably be in the 40 lb plus range when fully grown. His mom was a border collie/great pyr mix. He has the nicest disposition, love his toys, loves to run and play with his buddies, knows when the fridge door opens and in he runs for a treat.. He is not house or leash trained at this age and will need someone to take that on.. He is just a fabulous dog.

The total adoption cost of $575 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wyoming, a Allentown Great Pyrenees/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Border Collie for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Border Collie breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
