Tanner's Story...
Hi, I'm Tanner, and I was abandoned out in the country as a baby.  Thankfully some wonderful people found me and kept me until they could find a rescue to take me, and now I'm ready for my forever home!

My estimated birthday is Mar 08 and I should weigh around 50 lbs when full grown, but we can' t be certain since we don't know my heritage.  What we do know is I'm the friendliest, happy go lucky little guy, and I have the most handsome liver / gold brindle fur with white markings and green / amber eyes you'll ever see -- quite stunning!

Since I may be at least partially a bully breed, and no doubt some people will mistake me for a pit bull, please be sure to check out the special adoption section for power breeds on our website before contacting my foster mom for more info ~

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tanner, a San Antonio American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
