Samson's Story...

Estimated Birthday:  Dec 08

Estimated Adult Weight:  45 - 50 lbs.

Hi, I'm Samson, and I'm a gorgeous and wonderfully friendly black & tan retriever mix of some sort.  I was found abandoned out in a field a few months ago when it was really cold and wet, and my foster mom couldn't stand to see me out there after the first day and rescued me (there were no houses around to whom I could have belonged).  I have the sweetest lab like personality and will make someone a great addition to their family -- could it be yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samson, a San Antonio Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
