Jasper's Story...
Welcome Jasper! What a nice boy! Jasper is estimated to be about 1-2 years old and his foster thinks he is an interesting mix with some Australian Shepherd because of his body language and the fact that he wants to herd with little nudges of his nose! Jasper has nice house manners and appears to be house-trained. He loves to play but doesn't get overly excited. He is living with dogs and a cat in his foster home and doing just fine - as you can see! Jasper is affectionate and loves to cuddle. We also learned he knows the sit command. At @ 35 lbs, he is the perfect size for any family. If you are interested in meeting Jasper, please complete an application at www.henricohumane.org today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper, a Richmond Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
