Lacey's Story...
Lacey and her sister were found abandoned on the side of the road. The young men that found them were so very patient They had probably just been dumped off and were very scared to come to a human again. The boys hung in there and caught them both and brought them to us here at the rescue. They were loaded with fleas and appeared not to have eaten in a while. We groomed them, loved on them and gave them a nice warm meal and before you know it they were trusting humans again. Dogs are amazing! The vet estimated their birthday to be 2/17/15 so they are both still puppies. They still had lots of wrinkles when we first got them Not so much anymore but our vet still believes that they are mixed with Shar Pei. This sweet beautiful young lady is ready for her forever home! She is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on all of her shots
Adoption fee $500

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey, a Newark Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever for sale in Newark, or seeking a Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
