Remington (Remi): 1-3 years old, black & rust, neutered male, docked tail & natural ears, 6.5 lbs and 11.75". Shots up-to-date & micro-chipped.
We are pleased to introduce Remington "Remi" aka Christopher Columbus available for adoption approximately 2/10/16.
"Hi, my name is Remi but my nickname is Christopher Columbus. This because I want to discover the world. I think whenever the door is open or whenever I can find a spot to get out that means I get to go and discover the world just like Christopher Columbus. About a week after my foster mom and grandma got me into foster care they were fixing a piece of the fence that they thought might be small enough for me and low and behold it was. Just as they were about to finish the fixing I went right under and went running for my life. I don't think I realized what the big scary world would have to offer me so I chose not to come when I was called. I was gone for 12 days I was very scared and very cold but I finally was able to be caught. A lovely local lady caught me and put me next to her fireplace until she could get me to my home. I'm doing much better now and when Grandma and mom say "back back" I back away from the door. I know my story is long but I really am a cuddly and good dog. If you're interested in more information about me please contact my mom or grandma below."
Remi has turned into a really good dog. Initially he wouldn't come to us and wouldn't let us pick him up but as time progresses he allows us to get closer and closer. When we sit on the couch he'll come and cuddle in our laps. He likes to play with toys, and loves to chew on anything. We think he's closer to the puppy stage (1 year old). He enjoys being with other dogs big and small. He has learned potty training and will sleep overnight without having to go out. He can be crate trained but can also climb out of an open top kennel.
Note: Remi is located in Sacramento, CA, and we will not fly him. In cabin with Adopter only.
