Penny's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Penny's Story...

Penny was rescued from Hillsborough County Animal Services along with her 8 puppies.  She was a wonderful Mom and all of her pups have now found their forever homes and it is her turn to find what a life of luxury is.  She has the sweetest disposition and mostly like was a breeding dog for her previous owners.  She is highly food motivated and easy to train.  She is missing her pups so another dog that wants a buddy would be the best home for her.  She is approximately 4-5 years old so she would be a lower maintenance dog for any lucky family.  She is Heatworm positive but we are treating her.  If you are looking for a beautiful girl with an amazing disposition, Penny is your girl!!!  She is approximately 30-35 lbs so just a perfect medium sized dog as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Tampa Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
