Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster parents have the first option to adopt. We will provide all you need to foster.
Weight: 15 lbs.
Age: 4-5 months old
Personality: Very playful, affectionate and sweet. Typical energetic puppy. Teething and loves to chew. Very friendly. A little hesitant with men, but he just needs more socialization and training to gain confidence.
Coat: Soft, silky, more like a Labrador feel. Will require regular brushing (or a Furminator) and an occasional bath.
Training: Needs commitment from adopter to participate in both a puppy kindergarten (socialization) and a basic manners class.
Potty trained: No, in process
Health: Excellent. Eyes, ears, heart, hips and knees look good. No known health problems. Heartworm and fecal parasite negative.
History: Rocket was surrendered by his owner in S. Korea, since he was living in a 1 bedroom apartment. Mixed breed dogs have a terrible time getting adopted in Korea and will either be euthanized or sent to the dog meat farm, so a dog rescue stepped in to save his life. He was brought to the United States to live a happy life with a new family.
Fostered in: Seal Beach, CA
Type of home: Family with school age children or older, or single, active person. Adopter should have the time, commitment and resources to train and take care of an active, energetic puppy. Rocket will require a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. Jindo (Korean national breed) are exceptionally smart, and Rocket is a great example of this quality!
Crate trained: Yes, but doesn't care for it. Needs practice with proper usage of crate (short periods of time during the day and to sleep at night) for him to learn the crate is a good thing!
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $500
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
