My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DEE DEE: 10 Year Old Yellow Female Lab Spayed

DeeDee came to Lab Rescue through the San Francisco SPCA. She was a breeding dog in Grass Valley and the breeder’s husband died and had to give up all her dogs. DeeDee came in with 12 other yellow females.

All of the dogs come from champion breeding and are the true definition of a LAB. DeeDee loves people, loves other dogs, loves getting attention, riding in the car and seems to be just one happy girl! She is a mellow girl but still loves to go for walks. She will settle in on her bed after a walk and be happy just to hang out with you the rest of the day. She has been crated and we feel she would do well in a home after she knows the routine, she is housebroken. She would be fine in a home with kids and other dogs. We are not sure about cats. She is not a barker and does fine when left alone.

DeeDee needs to work on her leash manners.

She is located on Petaluma.

Medical:

She has her shots, is heartworm negative, she is spayed, has been treated for ear infections and she has been treated for a UTI. She had had a full blood panel.

If you are interested in making DeeDee part of your pack please, call Rescue Rep Liz 415-613-6374 – liz@jobshopsf.com.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
