Chewy's Story...
Chewy is a youngster, a little over a year. His owner had some health issues and could no longer keep him. He is a big sweet boy! He likes to play and run around like a silly boy! Since he is young, he does need some work on his manners. Chewy would like a home where he can get lots of love and bond through some training.

For more information on Chewy, call AWS at 860-354-1350 or visit us during adoption hours (Tuesday from 11a.m until 7 p.m and Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) Adoption fee for dogs is $275 and puppies ( 6 months and under) are $325.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a New Milford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
