Hello everyone! My name is Tom. I am a neutered, male, Terrier mix. My previous owners don't know exactly how old I am, but my friends at the rescue think I am about 3 years old.
I'm sure you're wondering why my owners gave me up. They told the shelter that they were moving. I'm not sure why I couldn't go with them. They never gave a reason. I guess it's kind of a good thing because they kept me outside and never allowed me to spend any time with them indoors. If you knew me, you'd understand that being an outside dog was torture for me. I am definitely a "people" dog! I like dogs, too, but dogs can't give me belly rubs and I LOVE belly rubs!
I would describe myself as smart and well-behaved. I walk nicely on a leash and I know my "sit" and "down" commands. Unfortunately, though, I'm not sure if I am house-broken. Since I was an outdoor-only dog, I'll probably need a lesson in potty training. I'm an adult dog, so it shouldn't take me long to catch on.
I am 60 pounds of pure sweetness and love. I'm probably the most affectionate dog you'll ever meet. I just can't get enough of all my human pals. As a side note, cats are a different story. I don't really care for them much. If you have a cat, you should probably pass on me.
