Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I'm Shayna. My friends think that I am a Labrador mix. It's hard to say for sure without running a DNA test, though. I was brought into a local high-kill shelter as a stray, so my background is virtually unknown. It's anybody's guess as to what breed my parents are.
I am approximately a year old and I weigh about 35 pounds. I am already spayed and have been micro-chipped and fully vaccinated. I'm totally ready to go to my new home. If there ever was a "turnkey" dog, it's me!
As I had mentioned previously, I was a shelter dog before coming to CageFree. Actually, I was in the shelter twice. Once when I was 2 months old and again at the beginning of this year. After I was adopted as a puppy, I thought it was going to be forever. I never imagined that I would end up at the shelter again. I often wonder why my family never claimed me. Didn't they love me enough to look for me? I'm hoping this time around that I find a family that will love and care for me for the rest of my life.
Aside from a loving, forever family, I'm also hoping that they are active. At a year old, I am still considered a puppy and I need a decent amount of exercise to keep me busy and out of trouble. I think that I would really enjoy hiking or going to the dog park. I like dogs, so spending time with some canine pals sounds great!
I'm sweet and playful and I love getting pets from all my friends. I could use some leash training as I do tend to pull a bit, but I am a smart girl and I am eager to learn. Consider me a blank slate!
If you think that I would make a great companion for you, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me!
