  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
OLLIE is lucky to be alive. This sweet, friendly white Pit mix female was locked in a shed and left to die. She was in there for nearly a week with no food or fresh water. Thankfully, a neighbor realized she was there and contacted the authorities. She is now safe in a foster home where she is receiving good nutrition and TLC. She weighed 43 pounds when first examined by the vet and her ribs were showing. She has regained her health and weight and now weighs 56 pounds. She was very scared when first rescued and just wanted to get down to the ground. It was as though she had lost her spirit and trust in people. She needs a family who will help her get that back. She has let volunteers pet and love on her after she has seen that they are OK and that she is safe. She is very calm and sweet. The vet estimates she is about 3 years old. She tested negative for heartworm and has been vaccinated and vetted. She is spayed and microchipped. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Ollie if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care she has received and the microchip.

About Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups

About Our Rescue Group...

Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group that rescues animals from kill shelters as well as stray, abandoned, injured, and neglected animals throughout Obion County in NW TN. If any of these dogs is a pet you lost, please contact the rescue. The rescue will not return a dog to you unless you can provide proof of ownership including photos of you with your pet, veterinary records showing you provided state-required rabies vaccinations and other routine care, and you must pay any and all veterinary and boarding expenses incurred by the rescue during the time they cared for your lost pet.

If you are not ready to adopt at this time, please consider fostering a pet, even for just a week. You will be saving a life!

Our Adoption Process...

In general, there is an adoption fee of $200 which helps to cover the cost of basic veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests, spay or neuter and microchip. If a dog has required medical care above and beyond the norm, the adoption fee could be higher. Fees are sometimes lower for certain dogs, so please inquire. If we are unable to arrange for volunteer transport for adoptions outside our area, it may be necessary for us to arrange for paid transport at a cost of approximately $140. Completion of an adoption application as well as a veterinarian reference is required. Our online adoption application can be found at We also have a paper application which you can obtain by emailing or call 731-886-9688 or 731-446-4013.
