Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Humphrey is a very special boy that needs a very special human to love him and take care of him. At some time Humphrey was shot and the bullet lodged in his spine causing him to be incontinent and walk a little funny. Then sometime after that he ended up with a pretty serious cut to his front leg. Talk about adding insult to injury! But he was saved and even made the local news. Money was raised to do surgery but it was discovered that the bullet is actually inside his spinal cord so it could not be removed. His front leg has healed just fine. So what does all this mean? He will have to wear a belly band for the rest of his life while indoors. His bladder can be expressed to reduce some dripping. His bowels are the same but he seems to go while sleeping at night. He is cute, funny, loving and wants to be loved like a normal fun loving little boy should be. He is affectionate as well and deserves as much love in return. Care is minimal overall and such a small thing in the big scheme of things. Please open your heart to this sweet boy.
Please note that we are a TX based rescue so all of our dogs are located in TX. We work with Rescue Roadtrips to transport our dogs to their new forever homes upon approval of adoption application. The reason we do this is because TX is a high-kill state due to it being over populated with unwanted dogs, but wonderful dogs, and finding homes in other states helps us to save more lives. Our adoption fee for the NE is $355 ($170 adoption and $185 transportation).
