Luci - Spayed Female - Border Collie/ Spaniel Mix - Approx. 1 1/2 years old - Weighs 23LBS
This beautiful little girl was pulled from GCAC hours before she was to be destroyed. She was so terrified at the shelter she was aggressive towards the shelter staff.
Now that she is in a foster home she is a very happy girl. She loves to play with her toys and snuggle on the couch with her people. She is Spayed, micro-chipped, up to date with vaccines, house trained and crate trained. When Luci is with people she is comfortable around she is absolutely wonderful!
Because of Luci's past she is extremely afraid of people she doesn't know. Her foster parents are working on slowly introducing her to new people.
She will slowly warm up to people she meets on a regular basis but will lung and try to bite a person she does not know that approaches her.
Luci needs someone who has a lot of patients and is willing to work with her on her fear-aggression. SHE WOULD NOT DO WELL IN AN APARTMENT OR CONDO DUE TO HER FEAR OF PEOPLE
She would do best in a home that:
**Doesn't have many visitors
**NO YOUNG KIDS
**NO other dogs or cats.
Because of her condition she will need multiple home visits with a potential adopter before her adoption will be finalized. A large, completely physical fenced in yard is REQUIRED - NO EXCEPTIONS. Must be at least 21 to adopt and live in the state of MI.
LUCI WILL NOT BE SHOWN - Meetings will only be scheduled after an application has been sent back and approved.
For questions about Luci or a pre-adopt application please send her foster mom an email at TLOVEST2001@YAHOO.COM
