Dorothy's Story...
Name: Dorothy
Breed: Lab/Pit Bull mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Dorothy is a young adult female Lab/Pit Bull mix is every dogs best friend. This happy, outgoing, lovable girl LOVES other dogs and playing, running, cuddling and engaging with other canines is her favorite pastime. She can also fit in your arms to be held still and smothers your face with smooches. Previously an unclaimed stray, she has a few adoption strikes against her-- passed over for being a black dog, an adolescent, and a Pit Bull mix. She is going by 'good things come to those who wait' and hoping her home will find her. Dorothy is doing well with house training and is crated for the workday. She would thrive in an active home with a yard and another dog to play with. Due to her breed mix, we are requiring you own your own home. She adores kids and is fine with cats.

Requirements: Own home with yard, preference to home with another dog

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorothy, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
