My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazel is a brown/tan Chihuahua mix who weighs 11 lbs. She is only 10 months old. This sweet pup is a little shy at first but warms up really quickly. She is great in her crate and sleeps quietly through the night. She is high energy and loves to play. We think the way to win this girl's heart and trust is through play. She just loves to run and chase. She can be a rough and tumble player so she would do best with dogs her size or a little bigger. She is still a little scared of new people (mainly men) and places but she is not at all aggressive. We think that when she is socialized and has had time to habituate to a new environment, she will do fine. She is confident with other dogs and does fine with them. She ignores cats and we think she would be fine with older kids. She has a little separation anxiety but she is learning to overcome that and comfort herself. Hazel is housetrained and loves riding in the car. She is fine on the leash and doesn’t lunge or pull; she is the perfect little lady when out for a walk. She is the kind of puppy who will be happiest being cuddled or held and she will make a wonderful “baby” for someone.
