My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated bio 1-31-16 Izzy is a sweet, one-year-old, Yorkie puppy. Izzy weighs 7.3 pounds. She is being fostered in Seminole, FL.

Hello, this is Izzy here talking to you from my new foster home. I am very interested in my new soundings. I have smelled every corner of every room. I even checked out the backyard and found some wonderful sticks to carry around! Right now I like them more than my toys. I like it here—the laps are really comfortable. I’ve never met a lap I didn’t like but these are exceptional, and I take every chance I get to find one.

My Foster Mom says I’m the sweetest doggy she has ever had because I want to sit in her lap and kiss her every chance I get. My foster dad took a picture of me and said we need to change my name to Twiggy because I am so slim, but Foster Mom says I answer to Izzy so we better keep it. I went to the Dogster and they said I was a little skinny but in good health. My teeth are good and so is everything else, but they did say I have to go to another Dogster to get spayed – whatever that is. Anyway, they gave me the rest of my shots and I got all my heartworm pills, and I ate it right up. I am a very good eater especially when I get a chance to eat my foster sister’s food.

I’ll let you know how I am getting along in a few weeks. Right now I’m just learning the ropes from my older fur step-sister - she is sure to teach me a thing or two.

In my forever home I would like to be an only dog because I have a little problem. I do not share very well. I am learning, but I still want all the people and all the toys to be only mine. I especially do not like kids. The one in my last home was not always nice to me, so now no kids for me ever again.

If you think you are the right one for me, and will let me share your lap, please fill out an adoption application.
1-28-16 Initial Bio. Izzy is the new puppy in town. She is only about 10 months old and so sweet. Izzy weighs 7 pounds. Little Izzy is being fostered in Seminole, FL.

Izzy was sadly surrendered by her owner to UYR. This puppy was having some trouble getting along with the 3 year old in the house who wanted to play a little rough with young, small Izzy. Izzy also seems to become very attached to her person and her toys and does not like to share. Her foster parents are going to work hard to let this puppy know that sharing is a good thing to do.

Izzy is not yet house trained but she is young and she will learn all her lessons with some patience and effort. She is very sweet and loving and is already cuddling up to her foster mom. Being such a young, little girl Izzy likes to play and will need an active family. She is leash trained and gets along well with other dogs. Izzy does not like children so she won't be able to be adopted into a home with children under the age of 14 for any reason.

Izzy will be visiting the vet soon for her spay and a few more vaccinations. She also needs her skin looked at and may need some medicine for that. Stay tuned for more coming on Izzy the Puppy as we get to know her.
