My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I got my name Ripley from Ripley's Believe it or Not fame cuz I'm the fastest feral turn-around this rescue has ever seen! I came from a feral colony where I was living with my mom and sister. But I was the smart one cuz I went up to the rescuer who was bribing me with a can of kitty food and actually let her scruff me and put me in a carrier! Within days of being in a foster home, I quickly realized that this inside life was the way to go as humans had wonderful food, soft laps, and lavished attention on me and I've never looked back. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of being a house cat and I'm loving it, exploring all the fun things there are to play with (and some I'm not supposed to!), all the things in a house I've never seen before, and the best places to sleep - so far, human laps are the winner. I'm with lots of other foster kitties who are helping me learn and are wonderful playmates for me. While I like humans, I'm still not real keen on being picked up and held, unless you immediately put me in your lap, but I'm getting much better, realizing that just cuz I'm picked up doesn't mean you're going to be mean to me or that I can't get down when I want. I'm a very striking young man, having that wild cat look about me with the most gorgeous golden orange eyes - and the cutest cowlick on my spine in the middle of my back (that you can see in the second pix). With some patience and understanding, I'll continue my transformation and be even more wonderful than I already am!
