Chip's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chip's Story...
Chip is 2 years old, 18 lbs, and LOVES the company of other small dogs! He's also great around cats. We believe Chip is a Doxie mix, he has a long slender body and beautiful markings. Chip is housebroken and knows some basic obedience. Chip loves to snuggle and be with his people. Upon first introduction, Chip is a little cautious (could there have been abuse in his previous life? we'll never know) and cannot live in a home with men, but he is an excellent cuddle buddy and will be your best friend in a women-only household. His hobbies include playing with his foster fursibling, eating treats, going for walks, cozying up on the couch and stealing blankets. Chip would do best in a home without small children because he can get nervous when over stimulated. If you are within 2 hours of NYC, come meet our Chippolino.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a Brooklyn Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
