Sophie's Story...
Sofie is an Am Bulldog/Bullterrier mix that weighs about 45 lbs. She’s inquisitive, sharp, smart, and always ready to have some fun! Although she is an active dog, she also loves to snuggle and watch TV or cuddle in bed if you let her. Sofie will greet you with a wagging tail every time you walk in the house or every morning when you wake up.

Sofie has never been too fond of stranger dogs and prefers human company. However, she can share living space with other dogs after being properly introduced.

Sofie is crate-trained, house-trained, and walks wonderfully on leash. She understands sit, lie-down, stay, come and LOVES to play scent-tracking games.

Sofie’s favorite pastimes include going for walks, chewing on an antler while lying down, or nibbling a chew toy. Because Sofie loves to play exuberantly she could be a bit too much for a toddler or small child but would do great with older children and an active family.

Sofie is protective of her house and will alert if a stranger approaches the door. However, she also knows to be quiet when told. Sofie is a great hiking companion and an ideal dog for sports due to her speed and agility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Nashville American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Nashville, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
