My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a beautiful red-nosed pit bull mix born in January 2014 and weighing about 45 lbs. At just 4 months old, she found herself on death's door with one of the most horrific cases of demadect mange that we've ever seen and was nearly starved weighing just 19#. Her body was shutting down from a variety of medical issues and we almost lost her a day after she was rescued. The veterinary staff fought like heck to save her... one veterinary technician in particular looked out for her day & night... and after months of care & treatment, this is Lucy today! She is fully vetted, and although parts of her skin will probably always show some minor scarring from her extensive injuries, she has a clean bill of health to go to a forever home that will CHERISH her for the lover & survivor that she is!

Lucy is a VERY sweet girl with a loving personality - she even smiles when she gets excited - you have to see it to believe it! She would LOVE a family who can spend lots of time with her as she loves to play and be silly. Her zest for life is the greatest reward to all of us who were involved with saving her precious life. She gets along with children, other dogs, and cats too!!

Adoption Fee: $125, which includes vaccinations, rabies, deworming, current heartworm & flea prevention, & spay/neuter.
