Otis (Pom)'s Story...
My name is Otis. I'm a 3 month old puppy. My mom was a yellow lab mix, and my dad was a boxer. My mom, my brother, and I were saved from a terrible home where mama was kept chained up to a bunch of trash. We were very thin, but we were doing much better now with good food and love. Im still looking for my forever home. Please apply to adopt if you think you need some puppy love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otis (Pom), a Harrisonburg Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
