Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Attention Rottweiler Enthusiasts, Have we got a dog for you!!!
Please meet the ever so handsome Oso! Oso came to us from a shelter in MD where he and another dog were surrendered after his owner passed away. Oso is 2 years old or younger. In addition to being stunningly good looking, he is also very smart, loving and has a really great temperament ! Oso LOVES playing ball more then anything else, so be prepared to throw the ball for him on a daily basis. Oso would do well with a female dog. Oso is eager to please and knows several commands , such as sit, down , stay and drop it. He has great house manners and is housebroken. When Oso came to us , he did have one undesirable behavior , he would grab the leash and engage in a game of tug of war It was clear this is a game he has played many times before and enjoys it. However, this is not a behavior any Rottweiler owner wants to encounter while walking down the block. We have been working with him on this behavior and he has made so much progress but his new adoptive family should continue to work with him on his leash manners. We will be requiring a home with a family who has Rottweiler experience, a home with a fenced in yard is preferred but not necessary. No small children in the immediate home but kids 12 and above would be fine. For more information on this fabulous boy , please contact Mountain Rottie Rescue .
