Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweetest and most awesome beauty Speckles, is a mix of Lab Retriever and Staffordshire terrier. This 8 month old weighs 38lbs and has a bit more growing to do. Beautiful speckles was rescued out of high kill north Georgia and we quickly discovered she has an orthopedic issue. Speckles will need leg and possibly knee surgery after she is full grown to repair injuries. We are seeking a long term foster who can keep her on the “down low” until she is closer to full grown to have the surgery be effective. Currently, her knees will buckle under her when running- but she is able to get up on her own. The rescue will pay to do her surgery(s) and we won’t try to adopt her out until completed. Speckles can take leashed walks and she does get around fine-but she is not supposed to run or play or get too rowdy! Speckles is very affectionate, super sweet, loves attention, great in her crate, and very good with other dogs. She is good on the leash and working on her basic commands. We don’t let her run and play with others- but rather “hang out” with her friends and she enjoys lots of attention from you and then. Speckles is house trained and has no food, toy or dog aggression. We expect her to make a full recovery from her hip surgery and are hoping to find a caring and loving home for her to “chill” in before and after procedure. She will have a full evaluation with her surgeon once she has arrived in Washington and she might only need one procedure. Speckles will be arriving on driving transport to Washington State on Sat, Feb 27th and will want to head home with you then! Speckles foster family will have first right of refusal to adopt her as well! She is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. To complete a foster application, please go to www.raincityrescue.com and choose the foster tab. Please consider helping this gorgeous and outgoing girl who deserves all the chances our others get! She will be a wonderful play and exercise partner once she has recuperated- and will love you forever for helping her! Any questions, email Pam and Tracy at www.raincityrescue@gmail.com
