Rocky's Story...
Hi there! My name is Rocky! My foster mom gave me that name because I was found at the Art Museum where Rocky Balboa ran up the steps! The person who found me is the son of a neighbor of my foster mom so she called my foster mom and I went to live with her and lots of other kittens and 2 big dogs. I was born about mid November, 2015 and I only weighed 2 pounds when I was rescued. Now I have gained weight and I am ready for adoption.

I am one of the most affectionate kittens my foster mom has had. I have a purr you can hear across a room. I love to be held and petted. I sleep with my foster mom every night right next to her on the pillow all cuddled up and cozy.

I am very playful and love to run around with the other kittens. I never met a toy I didn’t like, especially little mice I can push around on the floor. I love the kitchen because I love people food, especially cooked chicken!

Rocky is neutered, litterbox trained, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Rocky is very bonded with Carly, who is also in his foster home. We would like them to be adopted together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
