MAGGIE's Story...
Introducing the lovely Maggie! Maggie was rescued  from a very rural animal control facility in Tennessee. It was the middle of January and she was living in an outdoor kennel with a cold, wet cement floor and a plastic dog house. Obviously this is no way to live for such a precious girl, so we happily welcomed her into our rescue. Maggie is about six months old and currently about 35 pounds. She is now living with her foster family of a mom, dad, two children, and two large male dogs. She is a love. Wonderful with kids and dogs. She's very affectionate and is coming when her name is called. She loves bones and loves to play. But overall, she's quite calm and not at all a handful. Maggie is patiently waiting for the perfect family to scoop her up! She is being fostered in Tennessee and can be transported to multiple cities in the new England or Midwest areas upon adoption. Maggie's adoption fee is $500 and includes her spay surgery, her microchip implant, her negative heartworm test, pro heart injection,  routine fecals exams and deworming, and all necessary vaccines for her age. Please email us at Wilsonanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an application or more information on Maggie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAGGIE, a Hagerstown Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
