Sally's Story...
Sally is one of 6 kittens in all here at the shelter. These kitties, just 6 or 7 months old are very cuddly and mellow cats. They are quiet and just a bit shy but they love to play and to be held. All six vary in color and slightly in personality but they will all make amazing house pets.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday. 970 626 2273

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sally, a Ridgway Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Ridgway, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Ridgway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgway paves the way for another one to be saved.
