Bourbon's Story...
Oh... hello there. I'm Bourbon, yes, like the fine, barrel aged whiskey. True to my name, I like the finer things in life, such as chasing my tail, burrowing under the blankets, letting a bit of drool out when I purr, and other refined pursuits. I was found out in the snow, and now that I'm back inside, I can't tell you how relieved I am. The outdoor life is not for me, when I know that there is a perfectly warm, safe, comfortable lap for me to sit on. I'm very happy to meet new people and receive belly rubs, and will chirp and squeak in a very manly fashion to get your attention. I haven't encountered any other pets or children yet so I'm not sure about those things, but I'm quite the gentleman at playtime and always keep my claws sheathed.

Now, I'm supposed to tell you that I'm FIV+, something that I contracted during my time outside. That doesn't slow me down, though. I am perfectly healthy and happy and am just like any other pet, FIV+ or otherwise. I'm so pleased I can now spend my evenings relaxing with a delicate, balanced can of tuna-flavoured cat food, and can't wait to form a special bond with my own person. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bourbon, a THORNHILL Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in THORNHILL, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in THORNHILL.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in THORNHILL already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a THORNHILL breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in THORNHILL paves the way for another one to be saved.
