Butters's Story...
Butters is a super cute 10 month old smaller Boxer mix. He was found by a volunteer around Pyle South Amherst and Butternut Ridge Roads. Butters was brought to Friendship and waited 10 days for someone to claim him and no one did. He was already neutered and a a scar from a recent.minor surgery so he had to have a family at some point. Their sad loss is your happy gain. Butters is a friendly and energetic little guy that would love a home to call his own. He's tired of sitting around the shelter and is ready for a family to love. Butters is a good bet!

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butters, a Elyria Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
