Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To MEET CoCo - fill out an application. Cut and paste this link into your web browser: www.welcomehomedogrescue.org/adoption/application-to-adopt-a-companion/
Apply to FOSTER: www.welcomehomedogrescue.org/how-you-can-help/foster/
Foster parents have the first option to adopt. We will provide all you need to foster.
Weight: 8 lbs
Age: 4 months
Personality: CoCo is playful and sweet. She has a very nice personality. Plays well with others and is affectionate to humans.
Coat: Long, soft and will require regular brushing, bathing and an occasional groom. Her coat is very fluffy.
Training: Will come when called. Walks nicely on a leash. CoCo will need to be registered in both a puppy Kindergarten and Basic Manners class, with a reward based positive trainer.
Potty trained: Yes although probably won't be 100% in a new environment. Uses potty pads. Will need training to transition to outside potty habits.
Health: Excellent. Fully checked by our veterinarian. Vaccinations complete.
History: CoCo and her brother Meeko were abandoned in Korea outside in freezing temperatures in a cardboard box on Christmas Day. They were rescued by a hard working dog rescue we work with in Korea. Mixed breed puppies have a hard time getting adopted in Korea, so they were sent to America to find their forever families.
Fostered in: Fullerton, CA (local applicants only)
Type of home: Famly or single person, as long as they have the time, energy and finances to properly train and care for a puppy for her entire natural lifespan. She will need someone with the time and commitment for continued socialization and training classes.
Crate trained: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes trainable
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $300
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
