My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bonnie and I am one of the most gorgeous salt and pepper colored Miniature Schnauzers around!   My story is that I was found wandering the streets of Toledo with my main squeeze, Clyde.  After being released from a shelter, we were taken in by Schnauzer Rescue of Cincinnati/Florida.

Fortunately, I was transferred with Clyde to my foster home where there are three other dogs and a cat!  I get along great with the dogs and even wrestle with the little one, but I still am not sure what that cat is all about!

I am somewhere around 5-7 years old and I am housebroken.  I weigh 24 pounds and my foster mom has started me on a diet to lose a few pounds.  I have been spayed, had a recent dental and I am up to date on my shots, heart worm medication and flea prevention.

I ride well in the car and don’t pull when walking on the leash.  I like meeting new people, although I’m a bit shy at first.  I haven’t been around children so a home with adults or older children is a better fit.  I love to play with squeaky toys, and balls.  Sometimes I play tug-of-war with Clyde but I let him think I can’t pull any harder so he doesn’t give up.

I haven’t mastered the doggy door yet, but I am learning.  I love having a fenced yard and come right in when I’m called.  When my foster mom goes to work, I happily go to my crate and only cry for a little bit when she leaves.  At night I sleep in the bedroom, sometimes even on the bed!  My foster mom says I’m a real joy to have around.

I’d love to find a forever home with Clyde.  Don’t you think we make a cute couple?  Do you have room in your heart and home for both of us?   Applications may be accepted separately, but the rescue would prefer to keep this bonded pair together if possible.  Clyde and I are being fostered in North Canton, Ohio by Patty.  My adoption fee is $275.  The fee for both of us is $525.
