Sugar Bear's Story...
Sugar Bear is possibly the most loyal friend you could ever ask for. She is crazy about her humans and is always at their side. She is a 3 year old, 37 lbs very pretty Aussie mix. Her FAV past times include: snuggling, going on walks, play time with her doggie friends, going on adventures, sitting for treats and even more snuggling! She is smart and learns new things very quickly. At just 37 lbs, this pup has a big heart and lots of love to give! Sugar Bear is not a dog we would recommend for city living as she is a bit skittish of loud noises and needs to be introduced to new people slowly. She would do best in a home with another playful dog and no young kids as well as someone who has the flexibility to be home during the day. We require a fenced in yard not electric fence. Sugar Bear is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $375. This beauty is in a foster home on Long Island NY waiting for her furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar Bear, a Sagaponack Australian Shepherd/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Collie for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Collie dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
