Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Titus is an adorable 4 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom looks just like a border collie but we can see traits of other breeds, but to be honest we have no idea the real mix.
He has a gorgeous sable undercoat...silvery and soft, and will be a stunningly beautiful dog when fully grown. He will have longer hair and we're not sure if his hair will remain Sable and Black. He's 15 lbs right now and will be medium size (35-50 lbs) when fully grown.
This is one of the most terrific puppies we have ever rescued. He's calm and sweet, loves people, wants to be cuddled and held, and he can play fetch — a great retriever if you want him to be. Our volunteers absolutely adore him.
His story:
His mom was tied to the gate of the shelter with her teenage son, about ready to give birth. WIthin 24 hours, she gave birth to four cute little black puppies. One was adopted and the other three were very lucky, they were able to come to America for adoption. The teenage son was adopted there and we are hopefully going to find MOM a home as well.
About us:
We are a small organization who rescues mixed breed puppies in Guatemala—a country that loves pure breed dogs and dog shows but often treats mixed breed puppies with indifference and routinely abuses them. Or when they are done with their prize dog, they dump them on the street and they 'hook up' with local dogs and often our puppies are 1/2 purebreed and 1/2 whatever.
Titus is one lucky puppy he is in San Francisco now ready for adoption!
Titus is up to date on all shots and neutered.
You will need to fill out an application and have a phone interview before meeting Titus. There is a fee for adoption as we are a 501 3 c rescue. Included in the adoption is a free wellness vet visit at the San Francisco SPCA veterinary hospital.
