Edie's Story...
Edie is a small, 13lb, poodle/lhasa apso mix.
Lap wanted! Edie is affectionate and silly and loves to be hugged and kissed. She is probably 8 years old and acts a lot like a puppy. She is a bit clumsy, very curious and happy, and flies into people's laps if she sees an opening. In her foster home she plays with the other dogs and the cat but will wander around with a toy in her mouth looking for a spot to hide it for herself. She can be a picky eater and will sometimes refuse dog food or even human food. She can be kenneled but doesn't bother things except paper (so that needs to be kept out of her reach). Edie was terrified of being outdoors when she arrived at the rescue but she is slowly venturing outside and is trained to use wee pads. Edie came to the rescue with a hernia which has been surgically repaired. She has had her teeth cleaned, is microchipped and has had her vaccinations. If you would like more information please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edie, a Sheridan Poodle (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso for sale in Sheridan, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Sheridan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheridan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheridan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheridan paves the way for another one to be saved.
