Here's what the humans have to say about me:
March 2016 update: Chewie is gorgeous, athletic, and energetic. He absolutely loves people and enjoys being hugged and petted. He is one year old and full of playfulness. He is 65 lbs and is a long-legged sweetie! Chewie would likely be a wonderful dog for doggy sports, running, hiking, and any other way to burn off his energy.
He was found as a stray and never claimed. He has a wonderful loving disposition. He knows how to fetch and how to sit. Check out Chewie's fun video!
This boy was clearly named after Chewbacca from Star Wars because he sounds JUST like him when he gets talking. It is so adorable, it cracks people up every time they see and hear him. Chewie recently got to see the beach for the first time and he was so funny - a little afraid of the ice pieces being washed up on shore. He also came to some adoption events and was so much fun - playing with the other dogs and loving the people. He is very sweet with children.
Chewie also goes to day care and has a blast! He plays in the groups with the most active dogs because he is the life of the party. Sometimes he needs a break because even when the other dogs are tired out he wants to keep playing. He is such a fun and good boy!
Chewie was recently tested with cats in a supervised setting. He was super interested - not aggressive but very intent and excited. He would possibly be OK with a cat that did not run but we all know that cats will run. We don't think he would be safe with cats without some focused training.
Chewie has been going to the beach and coming with us to adoption events and he is just a loving sweet boy looking for an active family to love him!

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
