Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mystic is an absolutely beautiful 12 week old Australian shepherd baby girl. She is currently 12 lbs, but probably won’t be more than about 30 lbs fully grown. Mystic was being surrendered to a high kill shelter in North Georgia, but before she could get a foot in the door, she was brought to us. We just couldn’t say NO!! She is stunning and so sweet…she is quickly becoming her Foster mom’s favorite (but don’t tell the others!) Mystic is going to need a special family, because she is a special need puppy, which is probably why she was surrendered. Mystic is blind and may possibly be deaf. At this time, we are unsure if she can’t hear anything or if she has selective hearing. We do know that she is super intelligent and adaptive! In less than 24 hours of being with her foster mom, she mastered the layout of the house and within 48 hours, she was using the pee pads like a pro!! In addition, Mystic also mastered the stairs getting in and out of the house. We really don’t think she has any idea she is special needs! So far she is getting along with everyone…humans, dogs and cats! Since she is still learning how best to communicate, she is a little mouthy at the moment, but she is responding very well to training. She would probably do best in a home without small children due to her needs. Mystic would love to have an open yard to run and play, but she would also be just fine in an apartment setting since she will always need to be leashed when going outside for her own safety. She will be heading out on transport on February 25th with arrival in Washington on February 27th. Any questions email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com or go online to complete an application: www.raincityrescue.com (choose adopt tab). Mystic’s adoption fee is $500. We can’t wait for Mystic to have a chance a truly amazing life with an equally amazing family! Just because she is “special needs,” that doesn’t mean she can’t live life to its fullest!
