Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***ADOPTION PENDING***
Helen is a lovely, charming four-pound rabbit who has finally gotten through to her foster mom how she should be treated. Like a princess, but that’s a story for another day! What looks like aggression when a hand in placed in her cage is fear and anxiety. The technique in this video at http://rabbit.org/strategies-for-managing-behavior-problems-in-companion-rabbits/ (please copy and paste the URL into your browser) by Mary Cotter and Susan Brown, DVM of the House Rabbit Society, is allowing Helen to trust her handlers even on bad days. Once the scary hand-in-the-cage and lifting is done, she’ll lie down in a lap to be groomed and ask for pets. Especially if she can get a treat out of it! If you want a rabbit with a strong personality and have the love, empathy and patience to give her, Helen is your bunny. She would benefit from an adopter with rabbit experience. Helen is two years and four months old as of May 2017, and has good litter habits.
If you're interested in adopting Helen please fill out the application at http://www.friendsofrabbits.org/forms/form?verify=abc123&formid=3852 and email Friends of Rabbits at adoptions@friendsofrabbits.org. and her foster mom will call or email you to schedule a visit. Her adoption fee is $90. Helen is fostered in Chambersburg, PA.
