Hi there. My name is Summer. I'm about 3 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Highlandtown area and I was brought in to the pound.
I am a very sweet and loving dog. I was DEFINITELY not someone's hunting dog, but I was likely an outside dog. I will need a patient and loving new family with time to housebreak me and train me.
I absolutely LOVE people and other dogs. I love to romp around an play.
True to my coonhound nature, when I am bored, I will find a way to entertain myself. Sometimes that could mean chewing up things I am not supposed to, so crate training me for when you go away is highly advised. This will keep me safe and keep you happy.
I am a really good girl and I will let you do just about anything you need to do to me. I was even a perfect angel when I get my nails trimmed here at the pound. It only took one person and I never even moved or tried to pull my feet away from her.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER FEBRUARY 12, 2016.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
