Rocky's Story...
Rocky came to us quite some time ago. He is a handsome fellow, a tad shy and still figuriing us humans out. Rocky is 8 years young and 6 lbs of fluff. He loves other dogs, does not mind cats but highly dislikes children. Rocky can be a tad snippity if he is not happy and tends to attach himself to one certain human, 2 on a good day. Rocky is not at all aggresive, he is just "that chihuahua" smile emoticon Rocky needs a forever home with someone that can give him lots of lap time . He is considered a senior but has lots of life left in him. He is available under our senior adoption program so we will waive his adoption fee. If you have a senior that would like a senior or maybe someone that would love a dog but is on a fixed income , please share Rocky with them . Go to www.texaschihuahuarescue.com to foster or adopt Rocky.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a San Antonio Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
