My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Julie is available for adoption through Double E Rescue Ranch. Adopters must live within 250 miles of Copperas Cove, Texas. Julie found herself in the shelter with a badly broken leg. She was brought to our attention and we rescued her and began treatment for her leg. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the break and the location, amputation was the only treatment option after trying others. She has done very well to adapting with three legs. It does not hinder her in her everyday life. She is cautious of new situations and is very loyal to her caregiver. She would be best in a home with no children or children that are older and calm and can respect her space. She is approximately 7 year old and around 8-9 pounds. She is a great little dog that has overcome losing a leg very well.
The first step of the adoption process is to complete the adoption application on our website at www.DoubleERescueRanch.org
After receiving the application we will contact you to further discuss the dog that your interested in and schedule a meet and greet.
Our adoption process also includes a home visit and adoption contract.
Due to the fact that the majority of our dogs are small in size or older in age we generally do not adopt to homes that have children under 10 years of age for safety reasons. We will possibly consider it on a case by case basis, depending on the personality of the dog.

The adoption donation fee for Julie is $100 and includes the following:
-Current on DHPP Vaccine
-Current on Bordatella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine
-Current on Rabies Vaccine
-Spayed/Neutered
-Microchip
-Heartworm Tested and on monthly prevention if they are negative and on slow kill heartworm treatment if positive. (slow kill medication will be provided with the adoption.)
-1 Month of Heartworm Prevention
-Bag of current food
-Collar/harness and Leash if needed
-Lifetime support from the rescue
