Humphrey's Story...
Humphrey is a 2 year old chocolate lab/Weimaraner mix. He gets along great with other dogs and is enjoying playing with his foster brothers and sister. Humphrey was an outside dog his entire life before being rescued. Because of this he is just now learning the art of being house broken, but is well on his way to mastering it. He is also learning basic commands like sit, down, and wait. Humphrey is a very smart and affectionate boy looking to find his forever home where he can continue to gain some weight and be loved for the rest of his life. He is a large dog and will need a nice fenced in yard to keep from roaming. Humphrey is UTD on all vaccines, heart worm tested negative, dewormed, and neutered. His adoption fee is $100. For more information contact Stephanie Brakefield at 513-417-2640 or stephanie.brakefield.3@facebook.com. You can also come and meet Humphrey at the Petsmart in Clarksville every Sunday from 11-5 until he get's adopted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Humphrey, a Dover Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner for sale in Dover, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Dover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dover paves the way for another one to be saved.
