Nilly's Story...
'Nilly' appears to be a dappble dachshund & chihuahua mix. She is approximately 8-10 months old and weighs 14 lbs. She may grow to be a little bit bigger. Nilly came to our rescue as an unclaimed stray and has been living outdoors in the area where she was found. So she most likely will have to be house-trained. Nilly is a happy healthy little girl -- her Adoption Fee is $125, which includes a heartworm test (negative); vaccinations; rabies shot; dewormed; spayed and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventives. If interested in this little girl please contact Susan at 931-232-8165 or sueb.properties@yahoo.com for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nilly, a Dover Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Dover, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Dover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dover paves the way for another one to be saved.
