Everything’s coming up roses for Daisy now that she’s on her way to a better life than she could have dreamed of! Daisy came to us after being found wandering in the woods, so we don’t know much about her past. She’s approximately 6 or 7-years-old and certainly young at heart. She still acts very much like a puppy! Daisy weighs approximately 12 pounds and is a Coton de Tulear breed of dog. She’s okay with older children but we are unsure how she is with large dogs, cats, and young kids. Daisy is currently being fostered on Bainbridge Island in Washington State and will soon move to a foster home in Kamloops.

Daisy came to us with infected skin and ears and was underweight. She is quickly blossoming – pun very much intended – and is learning all of the wonderful skills of being a dog, including housetraining and walking on a leash. Daisy responds well to gentle correction and will thrive beautifully in a family that has the love, patience, and time to continue her training.

Daisy loves the children she’s met, so a home with kids would be well-suited to her. She loves the outdoors and when she can’t be outside, you’ll find Daisy laying in the sunlight near a window. What she wants most in her world is a loving family and she craves affection. Luckily, Daisy’s just as happy to dole out the affection too and would love to take a long nap in a snuggly blanket on a warm lap.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy - ADOPTION PENDING, a Barriere Coton de Tulear dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coton de Tulear for sale in Barriere, or seeking a Coton de Tulear dog from a breeder in Barriere.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barriere already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barriere breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coton de Tulear breeders who help with Coton de Tulear rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barriere paves the way for another one to be saved.
