Duckie's Story...
Duckie is a 4 year old, female, Staffordshire Bull Terrier/ Greyhound mixed breed. She currently weighs 33 pounds, but is EXTREMELY thin. She was found and brought to us by a good citizen. We believe this girl struggled to survive on her own for awhile. She has some spots of missing fur on her face. Duckie will need lots of work.... first on weight and then on courage. She is extremely affectionate and is desperate to find a best friend. She lets us love on her, pet her, and hold her. She just need an adopter who will give her a forever home. She is adoptable at The Humane Society Serving Crawford County at 419-562-9149

Update 3/11: We have been working on Duckie. She has gained some weight and we have been working on her manners. Especially jumping. She can be clingy. Duckie has VERY uniquely webbed feet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duckie, a Bucyrus Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Greyhound for sale in Bucyrus, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Bucyrus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bucyrus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bucyrus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Greyhound breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bucyrus paves the way for another one to be saved.
